Harnessing The Holy Ghost: Spiritism for Black Folks

This very unique course is intended to be an in depth exploration, training, and education on the practice of Spiritism as it pertains to the African American experience. Spiritism (also known as spiritist doctrine, Kardecism, and Kardecist spiritism) is a spiritualistic doctrine formed by Allan Kardec in the mid 19th century. Though it is a nondenominational practice with Christian elements it became heavily incorporated and practiced by Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, and other Caribbean  spiritualists as well as initiates of African and Diasporic Traditional Religions. Spiritism can be practiced no matter what religion one identifies with and is a wonderful tool for developing mediumship and building a relationship with one's spiritual court.

This course centers African American spiritualists wanting to enhance their ability to communicate and interact with the spiritual realm. This course is designed to:

• Be a safe space for African Americans to learn and practice Spiritism as it pertains to our culture, ancestry, and experiences. 

• Teach the fundamentals of Spiritism 

• Help students identify and connect with their spirit guides 

• Teach how to safely “work” with spirits 

• Train and develop mediumship skills

Harnessing the holy ghost is an interactive 8 week online course that combines a “work at your own pace” format with video and written lectures, homework assignments, and course materials. Topics covered include spiritism in african american culture, how to build an altar, ways to communicate with spirits, how to work with various spirits (including orisha worship for the non-initiate), and much more!

registration is now open. session begins June 25th. registration is $350. STUDENTS ALSO HAVE THE OPTION OF A PAYMENT PLAN OF 4 MONTHLY installments OF $90. registration includes:

• Access to the online student portal
